• Japan Leisure Hotels ‘resilient’ in H1

Japan Leisure Hotels this morning reported "resilient" consumer spending in the first half of the year, which it said supported its view that leisure hotels operated independently to wider economic drivers.

Revenues for the first half of the year were £3.7m, down from £4.1m in the same period last year, which the group attributed to the closure of its Yokkaichi hotel for refurbishment. Revpar fell to £102.0 from £107.9, with EBITDA at £900,000, from £1.2m.
