• US executives ‘bullish’

A study of hospitality executives in the US found that 88% of respondents were "bullish" about the coming year, according to the DLA Piper’s 2011 Hospitality Outlook Survey.

The response was nearly triple the "bullish" sentiment from 2010. Eighty-two per cent of respondents expected hotel asset values to rise during the next year, compared with only 20% of respondents in 2010 and nine out of 10 believed market conditions had created good buying opportunities for well-capitalised investors, led by opportunities in the upscale and luxury sectors.
