• Boutique for Manchester

Landlord Aviva Investors is looking for a partner to open an 86 room boutique hotel in central Manchester. The GBP30m revitalisation of the city centre Corn Exchange building will include the hotel and 13 restaurants, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The interiors of the listed building promise to deliver a unique and stylish destination, say Aviva. The block was badly damaged by an IRA bomb in 1996, and attempts to relaunch it as a shopping centre have been unsuccessful.
