A public inquiry into a proposed Edinburgh hotel will start later this month. Plans for a 127 room hotel created from the former Royal High School at Calton Hill were previously turned down, reports the BBC.

Co-developers Duddingston House Properties and Urbanist Hotels lined up Rosewood to operate the property. The iconic city landmark has stood empty for 50 years.
