Hotel websites have the lowest abandonment rate in travel. The 84.6% rate ranks against a 94% rate for OTAs, according to new research from SaleCycle.

Abandonment rates correlate strongly with the simplicity of a booking process. Rates drop seasonally in January and May, when consumers have more focus on making bookings.
