    Crerar sells up

    Crerar Hotels has sold its Ben Wyvis Hotel in Strathpeffer to Strathmore Hotel Group. The property was one of three Crerar put up for sale in March, and had a GBP2.5m asking price.     Koreans buy Hilton Vienna

    A consortium of South Korean investors has bought the Hilton in Vienna for USD375m. The asset will be held through a fund to be created by Seoul-based Mastern Investment Management, reports Pulse Korea.     Monster Voco on the way

    IHG has signed the world’s largest Voco branded hotel, with 4,200 rooms. The property will open in the Saudi pilgrimage destination of Makkah in spring 2020. Maad International will develop the property, IHG’s fourth hotel in Makkah. Saudi Arabia aims to increase the numbers of visitors to Makkah to 30m by 2030. Read the full [...]

    Marriott Japan additions

    Marriott has signed a Moxy and Ritz-Carlton in Japan. The 158 room Moxy will be first to open in Kyoto, developed by Pacifica Capital for a spring 2021 launch. The Ritz-Carlton will open in Fukuoka, developed and owned by Daimyo Project TMK. The hotel, the brand’s seventh in the country, will open in 2023.
