Accor is seeking franchise partnership opportunities in Spanish cities as part of its plan to expand its All Seasons brand in Europe.
Accor Spanish operations director for Ibis and All Seasons Jean-François Sánchez said in news reports that now is a good time for independent hotel owners to seal franchise deals because of Spain’s real estate meltdown. He said Accor was in talks with the owners of two Madrid properties. Once hotels are opened in Spain’s two largest cities, it will look to expand in Valencia, Bilbao and Seville. Accor plans to open 60 All Seasons hotels a year until it hits 500 properties. It has 86 All Seasons in eight countries.
