• British government launches tourism policy document

The British government has launch an action plan to help the UK tourism industry up its game and make the most of the Olympic effect. The aim is to attract a further 4 million visitors over the next 4 years. 

Plans include simplifying tourist visas, improving sector skills and even moving British public holidays to aid visitors. A task force will help identify red tape and encourage take-up of new technology.
