• British tourism value to rise 60%

The value of tourism to Britain is set to rise by more than 60% to £188bn over the next decade making the UK one of the best performing sectors.

The report by Deloitte and Oxford Economics commissioned for Visit Britain said driving factors include the weak pound making Britain good value to overseas visitors while more UK residents have holidayed at home. The 2012 Olympics will also be a boost for the industry.
