• Callbridge Hotels in administration

Callbridge Hotels has gone into administration citing the weight of high property lease costs as a contributor to its demise.

Lee Manning and Richard Hawes of Deloitte have been appointed joint administrators. The hotel group rescued nine properties from Folio Hotels in January last year after Folio fell into administration. It now owns just two: the Redwood hotel and country club near Bristol and the Westfield hotel in Blaby, Leicestershire. Both properties will continue to trade under the administrators. Deloitte said that from the initial interest they had received, a sale was anticipated "shortly".
