There will be an increase in hotel and fashion label partnerships, from designer spas, to fashion designer created rooms and suites, to in-house designer boutiques, to fully owned fashion label hotels, according to Trowers & Hamlins.
Julien Allen, a partner in the hotel and leisure practice, said: "The rise of the celebrity chefs has been a great success. Ramsey, Ducasse, Blumenthal et al all have a presence in London hotels but hotels are now looking for other ways to stand out. As London becomes an increasingly popular luxury hotspot among visitors from China, Russia and the Middle East, the number of fashion hotels is set to increase. Bulgari may be the first fashion hotel to open in the city but it certainly won’t be the last."
