• Gadaffi money linked to new hotel

Rajab Layas, a director of the Libyan Investment Authority, is thought to have invested in a joint venture to open a new Crowne Plaza in Buckinghamshire.

The Sunday Times reports that Layas has not been included on an official list of Muammer Gaddafi’s associates whose assets have been frozen by the Treasury. Last October Layas began the new hotel project with the family of Roger King, a businessman who owns the Stoke Park property.
