• Global transaction volumes up 60%

The global hotel investment market saw transaction volumes increase by 60% on the year for the first three quarters of 2010 to reach $12bn, according to Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.

Europe, Middle East and North Africa was the most active region for the first three quarters of the year, with volumes up 46% to $5.2bn. The pace of recovery was strongest in the Americas, where volumes increased 179% over the same period in 2009 to total $4.8bn.
