Plans to turn the iconic former TWA terminal at New York’s JFK airport into a boutique hotel have been revealed. Airport owner the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a developer to create a 150 bed hotel with the listed building as its entrance lobby, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
Vacant since TWA’s demise in 2001, the swooping structure underwent a $20 million refurb in 2008. Designed by Eero Saarinen, the block’s swooping form is a listed building.
