• HVS revises US forecast upwards

The hotel industry in the US is expected to recover more quickly than previously anticipated, and to regain stabilised levels of operation by 2014, according to HVS.

Hotel values are also expected to rebound more rapidly, fuelled by both stronger fundamentals and improving investment market conditions. For 2010, HVS forecasts a 10% rate drop, with occupancy up 5.3%, leading to revpar up 4.3% to $55.80.
