• London revpar passes £100

London revpar rose past £100 for the first time since 2000 last year, with an 11.4% increase on the year, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Average room rate rose by 9% to £126. Robert Milburn, hospitality and leisure leader at PwC, said: "Against such a high base, comparables will be tougher this year and we expect to see a more modest rate of growth. The latest PwC UK hotel forecast for 2011 reveals there will be a further ARR gain of 6.1%, taking average rates to £134."
