London hotel revpar increased by 9.3% year-on-year to £102 in the first half of 2010, according to the Deloitte’s quarterly Hotel Market report.
Room rates rose 7% to £129, while occupancy was up 2.1% at 78.9%. Deloitte hospitality managing partner Marvin Rust expects London hotels to see revpar rise by 10.4% year-on-year across 2010 as a whole. The regions are also starting to recover after seven years of decline. In the first half of 2010 occupancy increased 4.2% to 65.8%. Average room rates fell to 2.3% for the period to £66 compared to £64 in the same period last year. Revpar for the first half of 2010 grew 1.7% to £43.
