• London revpar to fall in 2011

London hotels will see revpar fall by 5.2% next year, with occupancy and average room rates falling 3.2% and 2.0% respectively, according to data from STR Global.

Marvin Rust, hospitality managing partner at Deloitte, commenting on the study, said: "There are clearly a number of challenges for hoteliers in 2011, including it being a non-Farnborough year, the year before the Olympics and the supply of luxury hotels in the capital expanding with the reopening of The Savoy and the Four Seasons." STR Global predicted that hotels in the regional UK would see revpar up 4.5% next year on rate and occupancy increases.
