• Peninsula operator sees profits up 13%

Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels has reported a 13% increase in full year net profit to $386m for 2010, with revenue up 12% to £380m.

"The performance of our hotels has varied quite significantly between different geographical locations, with strength in Greater China but recovery lagging in some parts of the US and Japan," the company said. The group’s Paris hotel is currently under construction.
