• Premier Inn revpar up 8.5%

Whitbread has reported like-for-like revpar growth of 8.5% at Premier Inn for the 50 weeks to 17 February.

Occupancy was 76.3%, against 70.2% for the full year 2009/10, with room nights sold in the 50 weeks up by 13.9% to 11.0 million. Total like-for-like group sales were up 6.7% and the company also announced the acquisition of self-serve coffee group Coffee Nation for £59.5m.
