• Travelodge refers Premier Inn to ASA

Travelodge is reported to have referred Whitbread to the Advertising Standards Agency over a campaign in which Premier Inn claimed to be London’s largest hotelier.

The advertisements said that Premier Inn had 5,500 rooms, with Travelodge responding that its rival only had 4,853 rooms in the capital, while it had 5,092 rooms. Whitbread is reported to have replied that Travelodge should have contacted it prior to the complaint, at which point it would have responded "with the facts".
