• UK hoteliers optimistic

UK hoteliers are expecting an improvement in occupancy, rate and hotel profitability in the first quarter of 2011, according to TRI Hospitality Consulting’s HotStats Hotel Confidence Monitor.

Looking towards the next three months, 56% of respondents were either optimistic or very optimistic about their hotels’ trading performance.  For the fourth quarter,  London average room rate expectations were positive with 97% of general managers predicting growth. Provincial respondents were however more cautious, with nearly 60% expecting no change or even rate decline.
