• UK regions see signs of stabilisation

Hotels in London saw rate increase by 10.5% to £147.54, with occupancy up 0.3% to 86.0% and revpar growing 10.9% to £126.88 in November, according to PKF Hotel Consultancy Services.

Regionally, there were signs of stabilisation, as occupancy increased by 4.0% to 69.6%, room rate decreased by 0.9% to £63.74 and rooms yield rose 5.0% to £44.34. Robert Barnard, partner for Hotel Consultancy Services at PKF, said: "Looking into 2011, the government’s spending cuts are likely to impact regional hotels, but on the flip side, for London, the royal wedding could provide a welcome boost."
