• UK to lead G7 growth

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has forecast growth of 2.7% in the UK for the third quarter.

The figure is down from the 4.9% increase recorded in the second quarter. However, the third quarter forecast was higher than those made for the other G7 countries, with the OECD commenting that the global recovery was slowing faster than previously anticipated.
