• Upmarket Eton Group collapses

Administrators have been appointed to five hotels in the Eton Group. The properties are continuing to trade, there have been no redundancies and the administrators said they were hopeful of successfully resolving the situation.

KPMG joint administrators Jane Moriarty and Allan Graham have been appointed to find buyers for the London-based The Academy, The Colonnade and ebar restaurant, Threadneedles Hotel and Bonds restaurant, The Glasshouse in Edinburgh and Quebecs in Leeds. KPMG confirmed in a statement that 42 The Calls in Leeds and the Scotsman hotel in Edinburgh were not part of the process.
