• US hotel transactions increase

The US hotel transaction market saw deals worth a total of $1.8bn in the first half of the year, including 42 single-asset transactions of more than $10m, according to CB Richard Ellis Hotels.

The majority of the deals, worth $1.1bn, took place in the second quarter, indicating growing recovery. However, the study reported that a lack of available debt meant that most of the deals were done with 100% equity.
