• Hilton goes boutique

Hilton is preparing a new boutique brand for launch in 2014, aimed at young, affluent customers.The plans were revealed by CEO Christopher Nassetta on Hilton’s first day of stock trading, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Hilton previously tried to launch the Denizen brand, but faced a legal battle with Starwood over use of confidential files. The company was forbidden from entering the lifestyle segment for two years, a prohibition period that is now over.
