Chinese investor Dalian Wanda is assembling its own development team to build a GBP700m hotel project at One Nine Elms in central London. The company aims to resubmit plans for approval, losing office space to create a larger hotel with conference and banqueting facilities, reports Property Week.

German budget hotel brand Motel One has revealed its first property in Spain. In a deal worth over EUR14m, the company has won the bidding on a site in central Barcelona for a new build 300 room hotel.

Polish Holiday

IHG has signed a Holiday Inn in the Polish city of Dabrowa Gornicza, near Katowice. The 160 room new build hotel will be close to the EXPO Silesia exhibition centre, and will open next year.
