Dubai start for Steigenberger

Steigenberger has signed to open its first InterCity branded hotel in Dubai. The 150 room hotel will be part of the new Culture Village development on Dubai Creek, with the hotel opening in late 2016.

Colony backs McKillen

Irish investor Paddy McKillen has used backing from Colony Capital to refinance his interest in Coroin, the company that owns a trio of luxury London hotels. The loans were offered for sale by IBRC, and McKillen outbid rival co-owners the Barclay brothers, reports CoStar.

Indonesian expansion

Carlson Rezidor and Indonesian partner Panorama are on target to develop 20 Radisson and Park Inn hotels across the country. Four deals have been signed, with the first openings in 2015, while a further six to eight are expected to progress to contracts this year.
