• Lastminute fades

Travel website Lastminute.com was once a stock market darling, worth GBP835m, but has slipped in customer consciousness. Current owner Sabre Holdings tried unsuccessfully to sell the business in 2012 and 2013, reports the London Times.

Sabre is planning a US flotation, and in filings has declared a USD259m impairment against its European operations, which are predominantly the Lastminute business. Sabre paid GBP584m for the business in 2005, but today it is just another cheap tickets and hotel rooms search site.
