• Suites in demand

Booming demand for luxury hotel suites is pushing hotels to increase provision. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is increasing its percentage of suites at properties, while at Mandarin Oriental, suites have higher occupancy than rooms, reports the Wall Street Journal.

In London, the Connaught has had to build two further executive suites, after its USD23,900 a night Apartment suite was fully booked with guests being turned away. While suites are not booked as often, those who do book tend to stay longer, and use more of the hotel’s additional services.
