• De Vere redundancies

Four senior staff, including De Vere Hotels and Urban Resorts chief executive Robert Cook, have been made redundant from the De Vere group. Management has been streamlined following the sale of De Vere Venues to Starwood Capital.

Also leaving are group chief exec Keith Shearer, group creative director Gary Garnczarcyzk and food and beverage director Paul Boyce. Group chief executive Andrew Coppel will assume responsibility for the hotels and Urban Village divisions.
