• Marriott loyalty win

Marriott’s Rewards loyalty scheme has topped a survey of hotel loyalty programmes completed by JD Power. IHG and Delta Hotels came second and third, scoring 704 and 703 respectively, against the 707 ranking for Rewards.

Programmes were ranked on five metrics: account management, ease of redemption, ease of earning, programme terms and customer service. Around 43% of loyalty programme introductions are via a hotel front desk, with 19% of customers acting on the advice of a friend or relative.
