Online travel agents have launched a loyalty points blitz to encourage website visitors to book with them. Orbitz, Expedia and hotels.com are offering points, airline miles and credit card cashback to hook buyers, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Orbitz has increased its rewards, with a 3% rebate on hotel bookings rising to 8% if an Orbitz Visa card is used to book. hotels.com offers a free hotel night for every ten bought through the site.
