• Orbitz up 12%

Online travel agent Orbitz grew room night sales 12% in the first quarter, with net revenues up 4%. Standalone hotel revenue was USD67.2m, but revenue per transaction was lower due to promotional costs including servicing Orbitz Rewards.

During the quarter, the company acquired assets from Travelocity Partner Network. In April, the company refinanced USD440m of loans, reducing finance costs and extending maturities.
