Chardon adds Scottish duo
Investor Chardon Trading has bought two Scottish Holiday Inn Expresses. The properties in Edinburgh and Dunfermline were sold as a pair, off a guide price of around GBP12m.

Louvre commits to Indonesia
Louvre Hotels plans to open up to 30 hotels in Indonesia over the next three years, under its Golden Tulip and Premiere Classe brands. The company launched in the country in 2012 and will open a further six hotels there later this year.
Sands bets on Japan
Las Vegas Sands head Sheldon Adelson is hopeful a visit to Singapore by the Japanese prime minister will herald a loosening of gaming restrictions in Japan. Sands is angling to will win a licence to open a casino resort in Japan or South Korea soon, reports Bloomberg.
Aussie disposal planned
Australian supermarket group Woolworths is considering splitting off or selling its hotel property interests in an AUD600m deal. Woolworths owns 75% of ALH, which operates more than 300 hotels in the country, reports the Wall Street Journal.
