• IHG suitor revealed
Wyndham Worldwide has been named as the mystery bidder for IHG that was rebuffed recently. The USD6bn offer is no longer live, but could be revived, reported Sky News.

The driver for the deal is said to be a so-called inversion, which would give tax advantages by moving from US to UK jurisdiction. IHG shareholder Marcato Capital has backed the merger, saying it could reshape the global hospitality industry.
