• Hotels missing out on Weibo
UK hotels are missing out on the Chinese market by ignoring Asian social media channels. Just six London hotels out of 102 surveyed have Chinese social media accounts, reports consultancy China Edge. 

Chinese consumers use Sina Weibo and WeChat, in preference to channels such as Twitter, which are more prevalent in the West. While some major hotel groups have made a start on Weibo, none have individual hotels engaging on the platform.
