Hotel group glh has launched a new four star brand, Every Hotels. The first property under the new brand will open in London in November, with three further London properties lined up for refurbishment and conversion.

Singaporean investor M&L Hospitality has signed to build a hotel on the Manchester University campus. The 326 room hotel in a 19 storey tower will be adjacent to the university’s business school.

A London court has ruled that Russian investor Vladislav Doronin must step down as chief executive of Amanresorts. The ruling gives victory to rival Aman investor Omar Amanat, and reinstates Adrian Zecha as CEO, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Baker for Whitbread

 

Whitbread, owner of hotel chain Premier Inn, has appointed Richard Baker as new group chairman. Baker has been a non-executive director at Whitbread since 2009, and chairs gym chain Virgin Active and furniture store DFS.
