• Sahara sales hope
Authorities in India have lifted a freeze on the overseas assets of Sahara group, raising the potential of a sale or refinancing. The Plaza in New York and Grosvenor House in London could be sold to meet payments demanded by the courts, reports Reuters. 

The courts have also said they will consider allowing Sahara chief Subrata Roy to meet potential buyers, under certain conditions. Roy has been refused bail since being jailed in March, over accusations that Sahara had not repaid illegally sold bonds.
