• Ctrip winning mobile battle
Shanghai based Ctrip, China’s biggest travel website, grew its hotel booking business 67% last quarter. The company is stealing market share from rival Elong, whose top shareholder is Expedia, reports Bloomberg.

Ctrip has reaped benefits from investing in mobile, with mobile device bookings now surpassing desktops as the most important booking platform. Ctrip is tipped to declare Q2 earnings of USD270m, up 33% on a year previously.
