• Sultan Grosvenor deal
The Sultan of Brunei is tipped to buy the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and the Plaza and Dream Downtown hotels in New York, for an estimated USD2.2bn. The hotels are being sold by jailed Indian owner Subrata Roy, reports the London Times.

Through his Brunei Investment Agency, the sultan already owns the Dorchester collection of hotels. Indian courts are forcing Roy to sell assets, in order to repay local investors, before he will be released.
