• Sahara bid denied
The Sultan of Brunei has ruled out any interest in buying the Grosvenor House in London and New York Plaza hotels. A statement from his office says he is definitely not interested in bidding for the assets, reports Reuters. 

The sultan had been tipped as the buyer of hotels put up for sale by embattled Indian entrepreneur Subrata Roy and his Sahara group. The hotels must be sold in order to meet the demands of Indian courts, and to secure Roy’s release from jail.
