• Hilton sells in NY

Hilton has agreed a USD1.95bn deal to sell the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. The buyer is China’s Anbang Insurance Company, which has committed to refurbish the hotel, reports Bloomberg.

Hilton will continue to operate the 1,232 room Art Deco hotel. The building opened in 1931 as the tallest and largest hotel in the world, and has been owned by Hilton for four decades.
