• Simpler rules demanded

Serviced apartments group ASAP has called on the UK government to back reforms simplifying the rules on short letting in London. Currently, a residential property can only legally be let for less than 90 days, if it wins planning approval for the change. 

ASAP says the law, in place for more than 30 years, is out of date. However, it also cautions that health and safety safeguards need to be in place to protect consumers, when they make bookings.
