Oetker for Lanesborough

 

Hotel management company the Oetker Collection is to take on management of the Lanesborough hotel in London, when it reopens. The 93 room five star property is currently closed for a comprehensive refurbishment, due to repon in spring 2015.

Chinese group Jin Jiang has bought the Louvre hotel group from seller Starwood Capital. The deal price for the 1,100 hotel group was not disclosed but is estimated at more than EUR1.2bn.

Hotel group Melia saw revpar up 12.6% in the third quarter with ebitda rising 20%. Stronger pricing at properties in the Americas has seen revpar there up 19.7%.

China Lodging saw like for like revpar steady at RMB183 as occupancy slipped back but rate rose, in the the third quarter. During the quarter, ebitda was up 20.6% to RMB349.5m.
