A Travelodge landlord has been granted leave to take the company to court over lost rent. Oakrock has argued that a promised refurbishment of the Tunbridge Wells property was not completed as required, and is claiming for resulting lost rent, reports the Kent Courier.
The property was one of a number obliged to accept a reduced rent under the Travelodge CVA in 2012, and a judge ruled the difference cannot be claimed for. However, Oakrock claims that because of poor refurbishment, the property could not have been relet at a market rent.
