• McKillen Maybourne appeal

Paddy McKillen is to appeal to the High Court, in his bid to unravel moves by rivals the Barclay brothers, to gain control of the Maybourne hotel group. McKillen will appeal a decision that refused him access to documents from the Department of Finance under an information request, reports the Sunday Times.

McKillen wants sight of communications between John Moran, former secretary general of the finance department, and one of the Barclay team. He believes they could reveal that sensitive information about the hotel group’s finances was leaked to his rivals.
