• Sri Lanka u-turn

A new Sri Lankan government has blocked three casino projects approved by the previous administration. Among the losers is a USD400m project planned by James Packer’s Crown Resorts, reports Reuters.

The ban affects just casinos, while developers are still permitted to build hotels and residential elements of planned schemes. The USD300m Queensbury resort, and a USD850m development from Water Front Properties, are also affected by the ban.
