• Loews buys

Hotel group Loews has bought the Mandarin Oriental hotel in San Francisco for conversion to its own brand. The 158 room hotel occupies the top 11 floors of the city’s third tallest office building.

The acquisition is the group’s seventh within the last three years, and comes as new CEO Kirk Kinsell joins. Loews will open a 400 room hotel in Chicago next month.
